Breathtaking beauty of black-neck crane nature reserve in Yunnan

Dashanbao Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve is situated in Dashanbao Township in Zhaoyang District of Zhaotong city,southwest China's Yunnan Province. Covering a total area of 19,200 hectares, the reserve is a well-known plateau marshland.It was ratified as a state-level nature reserve in 2003.

Dashanbao includes two major scenic spots, which are Dahaizi Wetland and Jigong Mountain.Every year, large numbers of black-necked cranes migrate to Dahaizi Wetland from Tibet Plateau in the end of October, and leave in April the next year.
