8 civilian injured as blast hits shop in northern Afghanistan

A total of eight people, all civilians, sustained injuries as a bomb blast hit a shop in Dasht-e-Qala district of the northern Takhar province on Wednesday, a spokesman for police, Mahfoozullah Akbari said.

The explosive device, according to the official was planted in a money changer shop in Dasht-e-Qala district and went off in the afternoon, injuring eight people in and outside the shop.

Investigation is underway to identify those behind the heinous crime, the official added.
