Matsutake: King of mushrooms

Matsutake, also called tricholoma matsutake, is a kind of precious natural edible mushrooms and renowned as "the King of Mushrooms".

Fresh matsutake is shaped like umbrellas with bright color. It has brown cap and white stipe with fibrous scale. The meat is white, soft and dense, with rich special fragrance.

Matsutake is delicious food in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The fresh matsutake fried by green pepper is pleasant to the palate. However, it is not suitable for distant carriage. You can have a taste in the restaurant in the right season.

Matsutake grows in the forestland on the high mountain of altitude above 3,500 meters in the cold-temperature zone, which cannot be cultivated manually in the world at present. 

As research approved, Matsutake is rich in rare elements such as protein, amino acid, unsaturated fatty acid, nucleic acid derivative and peptides. Matsutake can be collected and eaten from early July to middle October.
