The Donglianhua Mosque is located in Donglianhua Village, west Yunnan’s Weishan Hui and Yi Autonomous County. It was first built in the early times of the Qing Dynasty(1644-1912), and was enlarged two times respectively in 1921 and 1987. Covering an area of 5,866 square meters, the mosque sits in the west while facing the east. In the complex, the Chaozhen Hall is a structure of nine turns and eleven patterns, integrating Chinese palaces and Muslim traditional culture, which can accommodate more than one thousand people to gather and pray. As a landmark building of Islam, the lofty Xuanli Building is 14 meters high with four storeys.

With well-equipped facilities, complete functions and renowned teachers, the Donglianhua Mosque has a long history of schooling and has nurtured Muslim talents across Yunnan Province.
