Inland container depot put into use near China-Laos border

The Inland Container Depot of Lao International ICD Co., Ltd was officially put into operation at the Botan special economic zone in northern Laos on March 28, providing one-stop inspection service to cross-border cargos at the nearby Chinese border gate of Mohan.

Now the logistic companies that are conducting business in the China-Laos Mohan-Boten economic cooperation zone enjoy more convenience in freight transport, cargo storage, customs clearance and others. The depot can save at least 24 hours in transit time for Chinese companies.

In recent years, the transport volume on the Kunming-Bangkok highway has been on the rise, and a specialized goods distribution centers is needed. "Our inspection field  can help store cargos from China, Laos and Thailand, while providing transport and customs clearance services." Head of the Lao company said.
