Yunnan University:door is opened wider for cooperation to South, Southeast Asian Countries
"An increasing number of people are learning Chinese in Thailand." "I want to go back to Pakistan as a Chinese teacher after graduation." "The 'Belt and Road Initiative' has made more cooperation between Pakistan and China." On August 8, when we met Pan Meiyu, a Thai student from Yunnan University, and Meng Dazhi, a student from Pakistan, they said that the "Belt and Road" has become a bridge linking their future with China.
Acoording to the University, there have been over 1,000 students from South and Southeast Asian countries studying there. More and more students from Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa are also seen in Yunnan.
Meanwhile, Yunnan University has formed close cooperative relations with the universities along the "Belt and Road", and carried out cooperation in research, students joint training, mutual credits recognition, vocational education and continuing education.
In addition, Yunnan University Jointly carried out rice field trials
with Universities in Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.
