Late March, in Zhuyuan Village Committee of Tangdian township in central Yunnan’s Xundian Hui and Yi Autonomous County, the Huadaorenjian Rural Tourism Base was surrounded by begonia, red peach and roses in full bloom. Li Xingcui, who works there, was busy serving guests coming from afar.

The Huadaorenjian is located along the Jiaozi Snow Mountain Tour Line. In recent years, making use of this advantageous geographical position, the Zhuyuan Village has developed a beautiful flower base where 49 hectares of land was transferred to grow rose, begonia, and red peach. Today, the development of rural tourism in Zhuyuan is in full swing and it is getting better. More than 150 people from 45 poor households are hired to work for Huadaorenjian Agritainment and in the flower base where they developed skills for poverty alleviation. And more than a hundred people have gotten out of poverty.

The Huadaorenjian Rural Tourism Base provides tourists with special experience. In addition to buying local products, tourists can enjoy their time together with their families. In the unique farmhouses, they can experience home-style pastoral life. The chicken is home-raised, rice is home-grown, and the food ingredients are originally ecological.

Special products of Zhuyuan Village, like local eggs, rice, homemade honey, bracken picked up on the mountain, have become popular items among tourists from nearby cities and benefited local farmers. Some farmers can earn more than 200 yuan a day.

In recent years, making use of its ecological advantages to alleviate poverty, Tangdian Township focuses on developing rural tourism and actively promotes the construction of transportation, water conservancy, communications and other infrastructure, and creates the development model of “one village one product, one village one rhyme, one village one scene” and comprehensively improve the rural living environment.
