A “Belt and Road” media delegation organized by Information Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province arrived in Islamabad, capital of Pakistan on December 9, kicking off their four-day interview tour in the South Asian country.

The media delegation consists of journalists with People's Daily, China Daily, China National Radio and China News Service, as well as reporters with Yunnan Daily, Yunnan Radio and Television and other major media outlets in Yunnan Province.

During their tour in Pakistan, the Chinese media delegates will visit the Pakistani Information Committee, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, the Confucius Institute in Islamabad, China Market in Rawalpindi, and China Mobile Pakistan.

The interview topics involve construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the shared economic and cultural benefits brought by joint consultation and collaboration under the Belt and Road initiative, focusing on the new results of exchanges and cooperation between Yunnan and Pakistan.

In recent years, the Yunnan information office has carried out quite a few "Belt and Road" media tours in south and southeast Asian countries, facilitating the Belt and Road construction and contributing to building Yunnan into China’s pivot of opening up to south and southeast Asia.

Later this month, Yunnan will organize similar media tours in Malaysia and Thailand.
