Listed as a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage, Buzha is a traditional embroidery of the Bai ethnic group in Jianchuan County , west Yunnan’s Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture.

In recent years, Buzha has been transformed from traditional folk art into popular souvenirs featuring fashionable designs. More and more local women learn the skill in a bid to alleviate poverty.

They participate in Buzha training classes in local vocational schools where skillful artisans are hired to teach them. It is expected that after training, Buzha products will meet higher standards.
