Sri Lankan teacher falls in love with Yunnan
Su Mingda, a cooking teacher from Sri Lanka, has been teaching in Yunnan College of Tourism Vocation for two years. On December 2, he went with his students to cheer for the runners of the 2018 SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Kunming International Marathon on the scene, while watching the wintering seagulls at Haigeng Dyke of the Dianchi Lake, Kunming. He said that he loves the way of Yunnan life.
As a cooking expert, Su Mingda indulges himself in food and how to cook them. In his opinion, Yunnan has abundant green and healthy ingredients for cooking. What interests him most is that he can create mixed-style courses with Chinese and western way of cooking.
During his two-year living in Yunnan, Su Mingda is really impressed by its beautiful living environment. “I know the seagulls fly from Siberia every year to Kunming, but I didn’t have opportunities to see them in the past. So I asked my students to bring me here. They are really amazing.” Su Mingda felt excited when he saw Marathon runners “flying” with seagulls around Dianchi Lake.
