Research base opens in Kunming for inheriting cultural heritages
Since December 8, an intangible cultural heritage research base was open to the public at Kunming World Horticultural Expo Garden, SW China’s Yunnan province.
The research base is jointly built up by Kunming World Horticultural Expo Garden and Yunnan Folk Art Heritage Protection and Development Association.
The new exhibition venue covers 2,400 square meters and houses 19 intangible culture heritage programs such as dough modeling, paper cutting, kite, boat model, embroidery and tie-dye. Special experience classes are also offered in the base.
They not only showcase the cultural products, but also provide an opportunity for visitors, especially teenagers, to know and learn the intangible cultural heritage.
