In pics: Blooming cherry blossoms draw visitors in Kunming

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in the Yuantongshan Park in Kunming, capital city of southwest China's Yunnan Province, attracting lots of visitors.

The park is one of the hot cherry blossom-watching spots in China. Flowering cherry trees have been planted here since the 1950s and they often bloom from the end of February to the end of March. It has become a tradition for Kunming people to enjoy the cherry blossoms to welcome spring.

In addition to cherry blossoms, Yuantongshan provides spring sights of crabapple flowers as well. With the newly-planted 300 cherry trees and 100 crabapple trees this year, the total number of the two kinds of plants in the park has exceeded 5,000.
