Ethiopian and Chinese runners win 2018 Kunming half marathon
The Kunming Plateau Half Marathon 2018 on Saturday attracted a participation of more than 15,000 runners from home and abroad, including many professionals from Africa.
In the event held in the Spring City of Kunming, southwest China’s Yunnan Province, various races based on di stance were arranged, including half marathon, ten-kilometer race and family run.
Negasa from Ethiopia won the male half marathon in 1:07:20. Coming in the second place was Kosgei from Kenya. Yunnan runner Yang Dinghong made the best record among native runners when he finished third in 1:08:44.
In the woman’s race, Yunnan runner Pan Yinli claimed the title in 1:18:22. Ethiopia’s Biftu and Qian Xueyan from Yunnan took the second and third place respectively.
