On November 7, students from the Primary School Affiliated to Yunnan Normal University took a special class -- a publicity activity about wild animal protection was held in the school. 

The students were given lectures and learned about the living environment of wild life through photos, videos and specimens. 

Jointly organized by Yunnan Provincial Forestry Policy Bureau and Yunnan Wildlife Park, the activity aims to improve children’s awareness about protecting wild animals.

In recent years, Yunnan has made tremendous efforts in protecting wildlife and improving their living environment. Up to January of this year, the forest coverage in the province had reached 59.7%. 

Right now, over 90% of typical ecological systems and 85% of important species are put under strict protection in Yunnan.
