Yunnan beats Sichuan 3-0 at China Women's Volleyball Super League
With 13 points from Aiyana Tremayne, Yunnan beat Sichuan in the 15th round of the China Women's Volleyball Super League on Tuesday night.
The first set was hotly contested as Sichuan cut a 11-17 deficit to only 2 points. But Yunnan's solid block help the team take the first set 25-23. Yunnan then improved serve and successfully weakened Sichuan's attack.
Distracted Sichuan players couldn't find an efficient way to deal with it and lost following two sets quickly 13-25 and 15-25.
"Sichuan put great pressure on us in the first set, but we eventually made it." said Zhou Zhiyuan, head coach of Yunnan.
According to Sichuan's coach Ye Wen, the match is the worst one his team played this season. "We didn't do well in service reception and block."
