Lijiang's Huaping county promotes holistic tourism

The "China Mango Village, Green Huaping" holistic tourism promotion conference was held on Aug 19 in Huaping county in Lijiang, Southwest China's Yunnan province, attracting a total of 500 people.

The conference discussed food as it relates to holidays, country, health, and sports and formulated the Huaping Health Care Tourism Destination Initiative, which aims to promote the development of tourism in the county.

Zhang Jianhua, director of the Lijiang tourism development committee, said Huaping county should make strong efforts in major project construction, basic support, publicity, and promotion, and should devise new models to bolster the tourism industry, particularly holistic tourism.

Huaping county is inherently unique in terms of its altitude, temperature, humidity and air, and it has many historical and cultural attractions, making it an ideal place to develop holistic tourism.

Pang Xinxiu, chief of Huaping county, introduced 13 health care projects in Huaping, including the Honghegu Sunshine Health Care Demonstration Base and Blueberry Garden Scenic Spot.

The Huaping county Party committee and the Huaping government will provide incentives at the state, provincial and city levels for entrepreneurs who invest in the county, including tax reductions and loan interest subsidies, she added.

In addition, Huaping will also provide support in land security and project construction to attract more enterprises.

Cai Zhiyun, deputy chief of Huaping county, on behalf of the provincial government, signed cooperation agreements with Huayi Real Estate Development Co, Aini Coffee, Tongcheng Tourism, Kunming Fengniao Sports Co and Feizhimeng Club to further aid in the development of the tourism industry.
