Yunnan scenic areas ready for launch of mobile tour app
Yunnan scenic areas have got well-prepared for the smart-phone application of “Tour in Yunnan on the phone”or "E-Travel in Yunnan", which will be officially launched in Bejing on March 2.

The Kunming World Expo Garden has finished the build-up of the big-data platform which corresponds to the brand-new mobile tour app. “We will make good use of the app and offer smart-tourism service and facilities,” said a staff with the scenic area on February 28.
On the occasion of the tour app launch, the Shilin(stone forest) scenic area updated the tour-guide manuals, as well as pictures showcasing the typical sceneries.
In Dali Old Town, 18 scenic spots were re-photographed in the form of pictures or videos, with the tour-guide text re-edited and audio guide recorded. All have files have been uploaded to server of the app “Tour in Yunnan on the phone”.

Now tourists can download the app and play the recording or video regarding the Dali scenic spots, and the options involve Chinese and English in either a male or female voice.
At the Jizu Mountain scenic area in Binchuan County, more than seven million yuan was invested in smart toilets, parking lots, facial-recognition facilities. Live broadcast, wireless LAN coverage and the monitoring system all completed for the launch of the Yunnan tour app.
The Jade-Dragon Snow Mountain scenic area in Lijiang finished a POI (point of interest) surveying, with a hand-drawn map and audio files uploaded to the app. The Internet and video service was upgraded.
Screen of smart toilet provides abundant information
Within 2018, five new smart toilet will be built and eight existing toilets will be upgraded in the scenic area. The toilets’temperature, humidity, smell, ventilation, water and power supply will all be monitored and managed on the app.
On February 26, the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Development Commission even organized in Kunming a training session for around 300 local tourism professionals, allowing them to have a better knowledge of the app.
