1,704-meter-long noodle sets Guinness record

"Yigumian" (long noodle) is a popular delicacy in west Yunnan’s Weishan County where a 1,704-meter-long noodle was once made and set a Guinness World Record.
 

In “Yigumian” restaurants in Weishan, when you order a bowl of noodle, you will find there is only one noodle in the bowl. But do not worry. The noodle will be long enough for you.   

According to Su Laosan, an experienced noodle cook, the way to make “Yigumian” lies in kneading dough. But how long can the noodle be? Su recalled that he once made a noodle as long as 1,704 meters. It was in 2011. 

He first intended to make a noodle of 1,390 meters long, but at last, he made a noodle of 1,704 meters long, which set a Guinness World Record.
