Yisa Town: Castle of horse caravans
Yisa Town is the government seat of south Yunnan’s Honghe County. The castle-like houses, built by owners of local horse caravans in the 20th century, is a must-visit scenery spot in the town, demonstrating the horse caravan history of the past.
In Yisa Town of Honghe County, owners of horse caravans built castle-like houses in the 20th century. Today, the houses become a museum to show the horse caravan history. The first floor of the museum showcases horse caravan relics.
Paved with flagstones for the purpose of fire prevention, the second floor shows old items of chieftains. The third floor is used to introduce local ethnic cultures by showcasing costumes and articles of Hani, Yi, Yao and Dai people.
