Refreshing cycling in Lianghe’s tea plantations
Tea is a symbol of spring in southwest China’s Yunnan Province. On March 31, a bicycle motocross race took place in the tea mountain in Lianghe County, west Yunnan’s Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, adding vitality to this lovely season.
Aiming to promote eco-tourism and sports tourism in Lianghe, the race was highlighted by the combination of local ethnic culture and tea culture. About 200 riders cycled in the idyllic Huilong tea mountain which covers an area of about 667 hectares.
The refreshing smell of the tea plus the sunny weather made the race more attractive and exciting, and many cyclists said that they had very enjoyable cycling experience.
More than ten riders from Myanmar came to Lianghe with their families and participated in the race as well. In addition to Lianghe’s unique culture, they were most impressed by the scientific planning and industrial developments in rural China.
