Waters, sky merge into hue for tourists at Lugu Lake

Heavy downpours fell within the Lugu Lake scenic area in recent days, causing the lake water to rise 2.54 meters above the normal level and forming a rare sight of waters and the sky merging into a hue.

Local management has widened the surrounding rivers to discharge the affluent water. And the unexpected sight also entertained tourists who were either fishing or walking near the lake.

As of September 3, the Lugu Lake Airport has seen 952 landings and takeoffs, and the passenger throughput in 2018 is expected to exceed 100,000.
