Chinese New Year celebration held at Bangladeshi university

A Chinese New Year celebration ceremony was held in Bangladesh's Dhaka University here on Wednesday night.

Hundreds of people including students, academicians and dignitaries attended the ceremony to greet the upcoming Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Feb. 5.

The Chinese embassy in Dhaka in collaboration with Confucius Institute at Dhaka University, Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University, College of Arts and Design at Yunnan University, Dhaka Shangskritik Dal in Bangladesh and Linkus Network Technology Bangladesh Limited organized the ceremony.

The Chinese New Year celebration ceremony was held at the Dhaka University auditorium.

Artists from both Bangladesh and China performed at the ceremony
which have earned a big round of applause from hundreds of audience.
