Coffee exchange connects Yunnan with the rest of the world

In southwest China’s Yunnan province, the coffee output and planting area account for more than 98 percent of China’s total respectively. After ten years of development, the Yunnan International Coffee Exchange (YICE), has now become the most professional center for quality testing, tasting and training of coffee industry in Asia, playing a pivot role in China’s coffee exchange.

Located in Simao District, Puer City of Yunnan Province, YICE was established in 2014. Currently, it offers one-stop services of information sharing, demonstrating, auctioning, accounts settling, storing and financing of coffee industrial development.

Now, YICE has 1,000-plus registered growers. They are not only from main producing area of Yunnan, China, but from other countries like  Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand. And it’s services also cover 2,000 purchasers involving coffee producers, traders and owners of chain stores in Europe, the U.S., Japan, South Korea, the Middle East and major cities in China.

In recent years, YICE has carried out cooperation with Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) and has become a whole industry chain service platform. It serves as a trade center facing Chinese, Asian and Euramerican markets and a key channel for coffee from other producing areas to enter Chinese market.
