The 2019 Kunming Tennis Open kicked off at the Anning international tennis center in Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province on April 15, drawing in 200 plus professional players from over 30 countries.

As a top clay-court event in Asia, the tennis open is jointly hosted by China General Administration of Sport, Yunnan Province Sports Bureau, and Kunming Municipal Government.

The 2019 Kunming Open will last for two weeks, including the ATP Challenger Tour (April 15-21) and the WTA125K Series (April 22-28).

For the convenience of the local tennis fans who are full-time workers, some of the matches this year will be arranged at night, with ticket prices ranging from RMB 50-120 per person.

Anning, a county-level city in west Kunming, has been the venue for the international tennis event since 2012.
