Wang Lufen checks works of other embroiderers at the workshop in Baishapo Village, southeast Yunnan’s Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, April 26, 2019. With the help of local government, embroiderer Wang Lufen set up an embroidery cooperative in Baishapo Village in 2014. Currently, 1,000 plus embroiderers are working in the cooperative and their products are sold to first-tier cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Embroidery has contributed to poverty alleviation in the Baishapo village.
