The China Culture Center in Myanmar's Yangon rolled out a cloud classroom featuring courses in Chinese ethnic dance training on Sunday, offering a venue for Burmese people interested in appreciating and learning the arts of Chinese ethnic dance.
A brainchild of the center and the cultural center of Southwest China's Yunnan province, the cloud classroom offers training in 24 types of Chinese ethnic dance such as Tibetan dance, Mongolian dance and Dai ethnic dance.
Through the video courses, students can follow professional teachers to learn the dances step by step and enjoy the beauty of the art form.
Updated on a weekly basis, the online training program will be finished in the coming six months, the center announced.
To deal with the COVID-19 fallout, the center has been trying to alter its approach to education by moving classes and activities online. So far, its Chinese language lessons, training programs and video exhibitions have been put on new media platforms to enrich the lives of students quarantined at home.
