Li Guowei is a deputy of the NPC (National People's Congress), who wants to promote the Yongzi go-pieces globally. At the on-going annnual NPC session, Li suggested that the Yunnan go-pieces should be made better known.

Li is also entitled as inheritor of the Yongzi intangible heritage in southwest Yunnan’s Baoshan City. The Yongzi go-pieces are so named because Baoshan was called Yongchang in ancient China. The pieces are made of red agate, jade, emerald and amber, which was smelted and then handmade by technicians.

Over the 20 plus years of efforts, Li Guowei has formulated standards for the products. With a history of more than 1,000 years, the pieces have been a carrier of Chinese culture that Li want to have go global.
