Farmers enjoy pear harvest in Kaiyuan

Farmers in southeast Yunnan's Kaiyuan city has began their annual picking of  common pears(Pyrus communis). With long history of pear planting, Kaiyuan now has planted 20,000 mu of common pears, with an average yield of 900 kilograms per mu. The pears are popular among customers around China, especially in Guangxi, Guangdong and Fujian. （Zhang Tong）
