China's Yunnan to raise 10 bln yuan for health care
Southwest China's Yunnan Province will raise 10 billion yuan (about 1.41 billion U.S. dollars) to implement a three-year plan for the development of local health care, according to the provincial on-going "two sessions."
The plan aims to strengthen the province's abilities in infectious disease treatment, disease prevention and control, and other fields.
The province will speed up the construction of regional medical centers and clinical medical centers and reform the system of disease prevention and control, said Ruan Chengfa, governor of the province.
The local "two sessions," the annual meetings of provincial-level lawmakers and political advisors, discuss local economic and social development in the past year and make plans for the year to come.
