Yunnan company first seen on Fortune 500 list

Yunnan Investment Holding Group Company ranked 471st on the Fortune Global 500 list released on August 2. It’s the first time for a Yunnan company to appear on the list.

Chinese companies continued to dominate the Fortune Global 500 list with 135 firms, including those based on the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, overtaking the US for the second straight year.

Incorporated in September 1997, the Yunnan company has a registered capital of 24.17 billion yuan and 33,369 employees.

Since its establishment, the company has invested 241.5 billion yuan, raised a total fund of 472.5 billion yuan, and invited in 667.1 billion yuan in social investments.
