COP15: Rare plant species bred at Jingdong garden

Updated:2021-09-02 17:30:44

The Jingdong Subtropical Botanical Garden has domesticated more than 3,000 plant species in recent years, providing a breeding ground for endangered plants. Now, rare plants are thriving in the garden.

Known as the "natural gene bank of species", southwest Yunnan’s Jingdong county is one of the regions with the richest biodiversity at the same latitude.

Later, the botanical garden will gradually transfer the plants to the public areas, so as to popularize the knowledge on botany, ecology, environment and biodiversity.
