Hi, Yuxi: 2,000 ladies of Fuliangpeng engaged in embroidery

More than 2,000 embroiderers are spending their spare time on Yi embroidery in the Fuliangpeng township of Eshan Yi autonomous county, central Yunnan’s Yuxi city.

Here, a Yi embroidery training base has been built up for lady weavers to learn from each other. While passing on skills of the Yi embroidery, they also innovate in the traditional craft for better acceptance in the market. 

In Fuliangpeng, the Yi ethnic group accounts for 99% of its entire population, and the embroidery is indispensable in design and making Yi costumes because of its color, variety and exquisiteness.
