Following the resurgence of sporadic COVID-19 cases, many places across China have encouraged residents and migrant workers to stay put to celebrate the Spring Festival, to reduce the flow of personnel and curb the spread of the coronavirus during the holiday period. In Minhou county of Fuzhou, Fujian province, an outdoor gear factory has given New Year gift kits to more than 90 workers who have decided not to go back hometown this year during the Spring Festival, in addition to government subsidies. Zhang Liangguo, who has worked in the factory for more than 10 years, took a photo of the goods he received and sent it to his son who is now in his hometown in Sichuan. (Xinhua/Song Weiwei)
