12 Covid patients cured at Ruili traditional hospital
A total of 12 Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from the Ruili-based hospital of traditional Chinese and Dai ethnic medicine from April 13 to 14, all subjected to a 14-day medical observation.
“Conditions of the patients have met the discharging standards stipulated in the China National Scheme for Covid-19 Diagnosis and Treatment, and all of them were cured by a therapy fusing Chinese medicine into western practice,” said BaoYingsheng, vice-president of the Ruili hospital.
One of the patients surnamed Liu said she prepared much to say to the doctors but she was too excited to say anything but “thanks” at the parting. Cheering up those still in the hospital, Liu called on the cured patients to continue following the medics' instructions during the observation period.
The border town of Ruili in west Yunnan has been plagued by small Covid-19 outbreaks since March 29, when one person was found positive for Covid-19 in Ruili during the routine nucleic acid test.
