Yunnan reports 1 imported COVID-19 case
Yunnan Province reported one imported COVID-19 case on Saturday, the provincial health commission said Sunday.
The confirmed patient is a Chinese national who entered the Chinese mainland from a land port on April 15. She was tested positive on April 16 and was then diagnosed as a confirmed case.
The border town of Ruili in west Yunnan has been plagued by small Covid-19 outbreaks since March 29, when one person was found positive for Covid-19 in Ruili during the routine nucleic acid test.
The province reported no locally transmitted cases on Saturday, according to the commission.
As of Saturday, 83 confirmed cases, including five imported ones, as well as 17 asymptomatic cases are receiving treatment or under medical observation in designated hospitals in the province.
