Pu’er City promotes heritages during Dragon Boat Festival
The celebration activities about Pu’er intangible heritages were held in the 1 district and 9 autonomous counties across the city in southwest Yunnan from June 12 to 14, also the 3-day holiday of Dragon Boat Festival. Many visitors came to the heritage exhibitions and tasted the dishes of medicinal herbal roots on the scene.
Embroidery of Yi people, paper-cutting, bamboo weaving, wood carving, handmade silver accessories and diverse intangible heritages were shown in Tea Horse Tourism Town of Simao District. The Pu'er municipal museum, library and art gallery exhibited local heritage artworks and their related knowledges.
The just-concluded Dragon Boat Festival holiday happened concurrently with the national Cultural and Natural Heritage Day and the World Blood Donation Day. The events of Long Street Banquet, treasure hunting, campfire party, riddle guessing, Chi-pao Show (traditional Chinese women's dress) were enjoyed by visitors and Pu’er loclas alike.
