Cow enclosure turned into coffee house
In the Jingkang village of Shahe township, southwest Yunnan’s Lincang city, Ai Mang turned a cow enclosure into a Wa-styled coffee house that has gained popularity among visitors.
Ai Mang had studied in Beijing and run a Yunnan styled restaurant for years therein, but he returned home last year and created the Wa ethnic coffee house on a former cow-enclosure site.
Near his coffee house, Ai Mang also opened a bar where 1,500 varieties of wines and beers from around the world are on display for tourists.
During his days in Beijing, Ai Mang allowed quite a few fellow villagers to learned skills in coffee making and restaurant running.
In the future, Ai hopes to expand his coffee house and form the coffee growing, processing and marketing chain, in a bid to help boost the local economy.
