Yunnan's sexiest pink beach

"Since the sand in this area is red, the whole beach turned pink whenever the waters rush up to the lake shore," said a local resident.

Located not far from Kunming city (around one-hour drive), the Hongshanzui beach of the Fuxian Lake in central Yunnan is one of the region’s most vibrant attractions. It is the only real and nature-born pink beach in China.

In the breeze, the lake waves keep surging to the soft sand and slowly fade away, leaving a dreamy pink color on the shore. The water close to the beach shows a charming rosy-pink, like a glass of fresh peach soda, while the water far from the shore is blue and clear.

Contrasting colors of the rosy-pink and baby blue form a stunningly beautiful stratification. At sunsets, the golden glow shimmers on the cotton-candy pink water, turning the whole world into a romantic fairyland.

The beach also offers several activities to keep your days busy. You can either soak up the sun and gaze at the crystal blue waters lapping against the blush-colored shore or engage the entire family in favorite water sports.

"This beach can definitely be comparable with the pink beaches in the Bahamas, and it must be the sexiest beach in Yunnan," said a tourist.
