Thai durians shipped to China via int’l railway

“A bulk of 500 tons of Thai durians will be shipped to China from the Lao capital Vientiane via the China-Laos international railway,” said Alongkorn Ponlaboot, adviser to the Thai agriculture and cooperatives minister, on April 24.

Before reaching Vientiane train station, the durians were disinfected on April 22 in Chanthaburi, the producing area in east Thailand.
Earlier this month, 40 tons of Thai durians and 20 tons of coconuts arrived in southwest China’s Yunnan province through the China-Laos railway.
