Hydro-power project to be in full operation

As installation of the final two power-generation units coming to an end, the Baihetan hydro-power station is ready to be put into full operation.

With a total installed capacity of 16 million kilowatt, Baihetan plays a major role in China’s West-East Power Transmission Project.

The national project lies on the Jinsha River section between southwest China’s Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. Jinsha is the upper stream of the mighty Yangtze River.
