Yunnan localities ready for zero-waste initiative

The five Yunnan cities of Kunming, Yuxi and Pu'er, as well as the prefectures of Dali and Xishuangbanna were listed as localities to be committed to the national zero-waste program.

The list of zero-waste cities during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) was released on April 24 by the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

It aims to green lifestyle by reducing solid waste and minimizing waste landfills, both of which are recognized worldwide.
