As a habitat for 550 of the endangered species, the two reserves of Mt. Wuliang and Mt. Ailao is called home to the Chinese black crested gibbons.
Primitive man’s activities in Jingdong date back to the Neolithic Age. From 738 to 902 AD, Jingdong became a key stop on the Southern Ancient Silk Road, trading tea and other produces.
