Tourists look forward to Yunnan’s efforts to be China's most beautiful province

In the heat of summer, when many places in China enters into a “barbecue” mode, Yunnan’s cool attracts tourists from all over the world. They are intoxicated by Yunnan and look forward to its construction as China's most beautiful province.

“As soon as I stepped into Tengchong, the fresh air, dense vegetation and clean river gave off the smell of the original ecology and caught my heart.” At west Yunnan’s Tengchong Volcano National Geological Park, Xu Yingying, a tourist from Guizhou Province, excitedly pressed the shutter. 

According to Xu Yingying, the integration of ecology and tourism can inject new vitality into the natural ecological protection so as to attract tourists from different places to share the beauty of Yunnan.

“This is completely different from what I expected for rural China.” On July 23, Mia, a Jordanian student at Renmin University of China, visited Dongshan Village in northwest Yunnan’s Weixi Lisu Autonomous County with his friends. The relocated Lisu village overturned their impression on traditional Chinese countryside.

China has advanced targeted poverty alleviation since the end of 2015. By seizing this opportunity, the Dongshan Village completed building the residential houses, strengthening the infrastructure and the industrial layout in 14 months. “The house is well planned; the yard is full of birds and flowers, melons and fruits hanging from the branches.”

When Mia and his friends learned that local people have established a development model integrating agriculture, tourism and other industries, they were even more surprised. They left convinced that the rural areas in Yunnan will become more and more beautiful in the future.
