Yunnan ranks provincial-level regions in green development

China unveiled the first regional green development index ranking on Dec 26.

The index takes into account 56 indicators, including energy consumption efficiency, carbon emissions, air quality, per-capita disposable income, as well as research and development spending, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

Among the 31 provincial-level regions, let us take a look at the 9 performers.

Yunnan

The 31st National Lotus Flower Exhibition opened on June 26, 2017 in Daguan Park, Kunming city,  Southwest China’s Yunnan province. Over 500 lotus flower species, more than 10,000 potted lotus plants, and more than 13 hectares of aquatic lotus flowers are on display.
