Abandoned bathhouse turned into dreamland in Kunming
In M60 Arts Innovation Park in Kunming, capital city of Yunnan Province, there is a popular art workshop transformed from an old bathhouse built in the 1970s.
Attracted by the favorable weather, Su Zizi and her husband Zou chose to live Kunming after Su found herself pregnant. When the Beijing couple found the 300-square-meter bathhouse, it was abandoned and surrounded by trashes for years. However, they fell in love with it and renovate it immediately. And Zou deliberately made designs and decorated every corner of the old bathhouse himself. One month later, the shabby bathhouse was changed into a stylish space where there is a swimming pool and a wonderful drinking area on the roof. Now, the house becomes a meeting ground for local artists. Sometimes, painting gallery and dancing shows are also held here.
