1st transfusion for baby done in Diqing Prefecture

The People's Hospital of Diqing Prefecture recently cured a neonate with severe jaundice, using automatic arteriovenous synchronous transfusion.

The therapy, which was completed under the help of Kunming Children’s Hospital, marks the first of its kind in the prefecture.

The two hospitals aim to build the Diqing pediatrics department into a diagnosis and treatment center for child diseases in China's eastern Tibetan area.
