When you visit northwest Yunnan’s Lugu Lake, a mobile phone is as helpful as a tour guide.

In 2017, the Lugu Lake scenic received one million visitors, with ticket income breaking through RMB 1 billion for the first time. 

The scenic spot has improved its ticket purchasing system to make the access easier by launching mobile phone WeChat ticket purchasing and self-service ticket vendors. Tourists can go through gates by scanning a QR code. 

Through docking “Tour Yunnan with a mobile phone” to accelerate the construction of an intelligent scenic spots, Lugu Lake travel is expecting a “blowout type” growth. 

Lugu Lake is located in the junction area of northwest Yunnan and south Sichuan. It is a popular resort not only for its beautiful landscapes, but also for the mysterious culture of its inhabitants—the Mosuo people whose community is a matriarchal society and is regarded as a “kingdom of girls”.
