8,000 blooming peonies welcome Spring Festival

As the Spring Festival is around the corner, more than 8,000 peonies are blooming at the Tanhua Temple, Kunming, capital of Yunnan province. The peonies are of more than 30 species and their flowers are in 9 colors .

To celebrate the spring festival, the seventh Tanhua Temple Peonies Exhibition kicked off on February 8 and will last to April 15. During the exhibition, more than 8,000 peonies in 30 species and 9 colors will be exhibited in different batches. Tourists flock to the temple to enjoy the blooming flowers and take photos. 

This is the seventh year that the peonies bloom at the time when the Spring Festival comes. Naturally, the flower phase of peonies come in March and April. In order to create a flower world for citizens and tourists during the Spring Festival, a green house was built to create a environment which is very suitable for peonies to bloom.
