Luotongshe, a wonderland for outdoor enthusiasts
If you enjoy activities in nature, the Luotongshe Village is a wonderland. It is a fabulous village located in northwest Yunnan’s Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.
Luotongshe is a rarely known place even for the people living in other areas of Diqing and it is situated on the top of a mountain with an altitude of 2,200 meters. There are 40 households and 200 Tibetan people living in the village where houses are hidden in the forest more than 1,000 walnut trees.
Luotongshe has nine astonishing natural lakes which make the scenery here unique and remarkable. Although it usually takes a whole day to walk through the zigzag road along the mountain to the top, it is worthwhile journey because there are diverse scenes along the road, including forests, meadows and lakes.
