Cakes baked on flagstones are a kind of traditional delicacy of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China’s Yunnan Province. The special flagstones are used as bakeware and the cakes so baked taste more delicious when it goes with wild honey.

In Bingzhongluo Township of Nujiang, locals usually cut cyan flagstones into thin and round shapes and turn them into the bake ware. Surprisingly, the flagstones, easy to crack at first, will become harder after baking.

People often bake cakes on them. The cakes are made from buckwheat and corn and are popular in Nujiang. Generally, the best way to taste the delicacy is to dip the cakes into wild honey and eat them.
